DESCRIPTION OF EDOM HOTEL IN PETRA

Edom Hotel is an ideal starting point for your tour of Petra. From Amman, the capital of Jordan, it is about a three hours drive to the Edom Hotel and to the entrance of Petra. From Aqaba, it is approximately a two hour drive.

The hotel is 200 meters away from the main entrance of Petra, and has 135 air conditioned rooms. The hotel offers doubles, singles and suite accommodations, with private baths. Our amenities include: minibar, satellite color TV, direct dial telephones, laundry, and room service.

The carved stone of our cave restaurant keeps the atmosphere of ancient Petra alive. The restaurant seats 300 people, available for groups, small intimate dining, conferences or meetings. Our buffet serves traditional oriental cuisine.
The Location of Edom Hotel in Petra is very close to the main entrance of Petra, the information office; the visitors centre and also close to the city centre of Wadi Mousa.The Amman International Airport is located 240Km to the hotel. From the airport the guests have to take the dessert highway.

Direct to Petra about 2 hours drive. Aqaba Airport is located just about 140 Km. to the hotel, about 1:30 drive. There are regular service local buses from Amman and Aqaba  main station in Petra and then by any Taxi you can reach the hotel within 2 minutes.

By using your car you can drive direct to the entrance Petra and therefore very close to the hotel.

Some of the major tourist attractions of Petra are located very near the hotel. The visitors can enjoy buying local products from the streets.
